Since I was a kid, I've always asked or thought in my head, "Who made the rules? Why?"
I always needed to know the rationale for any rule.
If I received an acceptable answer, then it was like, "OK, cool. I get why we must do that."
If I felt the answer was unacceptable, then came more why's. "But why? But why? That doesn't make sense. But why?"
1️⃣ Like why did we have to sit in church and ask no questions? Why was asking questions about what the pastor was saying, "questioning God?"
How do I know that what he is saying is from God simply because he stood there and said it? Is he God? Well then, why is asking a question questioning God?
I had ALL of the questions. Then, I learned to just keep them in my head because nobody had an answer as to why you can't ask questions in church, OR Bible study, and NOT EVEN in Sunday school. Well, you could ask questions, but the answer would always seem to equate to a "Hush, child thats just the way it is" type of response. 🤔
So now, I've created babies. 🤣
2 of them. One is saying words, and the other reads whole books.
Guess what the one who can read is doing?
"But why? But why Mommy?" 🤦🏾♀️🤣
I certainly try to explain because I remember my little world of floating questions. My confusion didn't feel safe.
🗣 CAUSE I SAID SO! Doesn't always feel safe.
I think it's ok to have questions and that we should nurture the babies' minds. From the mouth of babes comes forth many messages. 😉 If you listen, it may open your eyes.

💥Nurse Dei-ism: My 6 year old still drinks warm milk. They say stop warming the milk when they're no longer a baby right? But why?
Yesterday, he said, "Mommy, I like drinking warm milk because it tastes like a massage. It's just like warm coffee and can help you go to sleep."
🤔I was like, "You know what? That makes perfect sense."
Warm milk is like a massage. He's basically trying to describe that it relaxes him. 😁
I drink a warm tea latte nearly every morning. Before bed, a lot of times, I'll drink a warm, calming tea with milk in it.
The world is running and zipping to the nearest coffee shop in the morning, but kids have to drink cold milk? Who made the rules??
My kid gets warm milk in a mug just like my warm tea latte. 🥰
